Mike Knuble, born in Toronto but raised in Grand Rapids, took his passion for hockey and scoring goals from East Kentwood High School to winning the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings.

In four years at the University of Michigan he played in three Frozen Fours and in four NCAA Tournaments while earning second-team All-American status in 1995.

?Selected in 1991 by the Red Wings in the fourth round with the 76th pick of the NHL Draft, he eventually made his NHL debut in 1996 and played in 53 games with the Stanley Cup-winning Red Wings in 1997-98.
?He was traded the next year to the New York Rangers and also played for Boston, Washington and Philadelphia in a 17-year professional career that included 1,068 games with 278 goals and 548 points. He also represented the United States internationally in four World Championships (1995, 1999,2001,2005) and one Olympic Games (2006).
