Jim Haskins was inducted in 2018 as the Warren Reynolds Lifetime Achievement Award Winner. He retired in 2019 as the commissioner of the OK Conference after 13 years of leadership and 48 years in local athletics.
He was a teacher and football and basketball coach at Creston High School in Grand Rapids from 1970 to 1983, and his teams won multiple City League titles in basketball.
He became principal of Rockford High School in 1984 where he was very involved in the design and development of a new high school that opened in 1992 and was recognized as one of the top two technological high schools in the country.
In 1999 he started work in the private sector helping to design technology systems for schools throughout the United States.
He became the first commissioner of the OK Conference in 2005 and directed efforts to keep the league intact and grow. He has also been involved in conference realignment multiple times for improved competition.
? He grew up in Grand Rapids playing football, basketball and tennis at South High School, and also played basketball at Grand Rapids Community College.
