The Paganelli family of officials was the Outstanding Team Honoree for 2018. Carl Paganelli Sr. made his mark as a football official locally, nationally and internationally for 58 years, and his sons Carl Jr., Perry and Dino followed him into the “family business” and achieved at the highest levels of the game, including each officiating in Super Bowl games.
Carl Sr. officiated over 30 years in college and professional ranks, and then started training officials, including his sons and more than 30 current NFL officials.
As of 2018, Carl Jr. had been an NFL umpire for over 20 years and had officiated in three Super Bowl games, including one with Perry in 2007. They were the first pair of brothers to ever work a Super Bowl in the same crew.
Perry had officiated as a back judge for over 20 NFL seasons by 2018 and worked two Super Bowl games. Dino, also a back judge, had been in the NFL for 15 seasons and officiated in one Super Bowl. Dino added a second Super Bowl in February of 2021.
